Observation - Magnetization post 2016 models

Hi All. I just got a new TT Daytona some months ago, it was a 2017 manufactured model. When I purchased it , it was 5s/Day , got the RSC to have a check and they regulated and adjusted the beat. Was working fine, 1.5 s a day.

Its been about 6 weeks, consistent over 5 weeks. Last week was running 2.5 s/day , this week almost 3s/day. Put it on my timograph and beats were scattered , showing average of +7 /+5 /+3 and +1 in the 4 positions . face up, face down , Crown up and crown down.

I could not understand what happened, so got the watch demagnetized. So far the tests on the timeograph are +4/ +2/+1/0 , showing signs of 1.2s/day.

So it seems where the parachrom spring might be resistant to magnetic fields , maybe the components are not? Whatever seemed to be the issue , testing last 24 hours , demagnetization worked.

opinions welcome??

While magnetism mainly affects the watches hairspring causing it to stick but many other things affect any mechanical movement while on the wrist or off.The movement is constantly affected by the earth's gravity, metal expansion and contraction, temperature variations, mainspring power-reserve subtle changes in lubrication and friction, shocks, and so on.The fact is that no mechanical watch made will keep 100% perfect time, very close yes but perfect no and would doubt if any sort of demagnetfaction had anything to do with the very slight change in timing.

Im sure magnetization had some role. Because just before demagnetization the results were different and straight after demagnetization the results were different. After 1 week I'll be able to accurately tell how many seconds it has gained or lost in real time without a timeograph

This is correct.

Only the Milgauss and new Air King use a non-ferrous movement, plus a Faraday Cage to keep out stray flux.

4 days @ 1.2/1.3 secs , demagnetisation has brought it inline.
