Omega NATO strap on PO

I just got a fresh Omega Bond NATO for my PO after not wearing it much since the purchase of a Rolex Sub C date in Feb 2017. I had tried multiple different straps but never really fell in love with any of them until now. The Omega NATO is worth the $160 USD price tag...trust me. The fit & finish is far superior to other NATO straps. The supple material used for the strap is much more comfortable than the steel oyster bracelet when it’s hot & humid. I’m glad the PO will be getting more wrist time.

Great looking combination! I'm also a big fan of Omega's NATO straps and find them superior to others I have tried on.

I have the same NATO on my speedy pro right now. The price is crazy, but I do love the finishing and looks fantastic.

The price is a bit crazy, but worth it because of the quality. The price has dropped $20 from when they first came out. At $100 or less per strap I’d probably experiment with some other colors. At $160 probably not.

Do you find your PO is stable enough on a nato? I found the watch would catch and knock a spring bar out (on a cheap nato).

Does the omega nato have sleeves for the spring bars?

Your watch and strap combination looks fantastic.

Thanks! The PO is stable and surprisingly light on the NATO compared to the factory steel strap which made the watch feel top heavy and bulky. The profile is tall with the added thickness of the NATO and I could see where it could catch or would be difficult to wear with long sleeve shirts. It's just a standard NATO design and doesn't have sleeves for the spring bars.

On a side note I've worn a Rolex Sub C to work everyday for the last year and a half and not one person said "nice watch". 3 days in wearing the PO with Bond NATO and have had 2 co-workers comment how much they like my "new" watch.

They come w a fantastic bracelet. Say no-to-NATO--never a step up.

The PO bracelet is nice, but far from fantastic. Scratches easily & has no micro adjustments like the Rolex Oyster on the Sub. Really happy with the OEM Omega NATO. Tried other NATOs and they don’t compare.

That PO looks fantastic on a NATO strap.

Omega have introduced a micro adjustable strap on the ceramic 43.5mm PO. I really like it

Really? I had a difficult time getting my original bracelet fitting right. Good on Omega for making the bracelet adjustable now.

You can retro fit the new adjustable clasps to the old PO bracelets. For the 8500 series it’s a simple bolt off bolt on job. For the 2500 series with the pins/tube style bracelet it requires purchasing new links for the bracelet to be compatible.
There is a long extension with 6 2mm adjustments and a dive extension, a version without the dive extension and a short clasp that has 3 2mm extensions.

Why come to a Nato thread saying this?

The Omega nato is a great strap. But what other ones have you tried?

I’ve tried a cheap $15 NATO from a local jeweler & several different grade straps from Blushark. The Blushark was decent but not as nice as the Omega. To be fair to Blushark their strap was only $30 & were buy 2 get one free & were good quality.

There are even better ones than Blushark.

Everyone raves about your ToxicNATOs, I think I will have to pick one (or two) up... when the right one comes back in stock! I do have two of your Magnum straps and one of the Scurfa straps, both are phenomenal quality and comfortable as heck.

I am a fan of BluShark straps, but I've been cutting the second strap off so they are less bulky. My MM300 is big enough on wrist, I don't need it to be even taller. I have it on the blue Magnum rubber right now, and it is probably staying on for the foreseeable future...

I trim all my two layered natos for personal use. Or I use a one piece Toxic Royal.

I wish I had a MM when I started carrying the Magnum's. It would have been a great combo. Heck even the new Scurfa rubber straps are super nice.

Agreed. I think the best ones out there are the ToxicNATOS. Especially the Shiznit N80 straps. Super soft, comfortable and durable too. At a price that blows the Omega NATO's out of the water.
