RO 15400 Blue dial - Waiting time
Hello,
Was wondering if any of you know about a AP boutique (anywhere around the globe) which currently has the RO 15400 blue dial available? If yes, where? And if not what is the shortest timeframe you know about? + In general, what is a “reasonable” timeframe for this watch these days (for a first time buyer)? Thanks in advance. |

I was told by the Beverly Hills boutique that the blue dial ROC, 15400 and 15202 were not available to first time buyers. After the purchase of another AP the ROC was under 6 months, the 15400 was around a year and they couldn't give an accurate estimate for the 15202.

Are there any specific boutiques which are known for their “higher” availability of high demand watches?
Of course its all proportional to others, but still I assume there are... |

I would call the Bal Harbour or the NYC boutique. They are owned by AP so might have better luck with availability.

I put down a deposit a few months ago at the Taipei 101 Boutique. Was told it will be sometimes early-mid 2019.

There are others more qualified than me on this topic, but things could change quickly if/when the economy slows. Not hoping for it...just saying.

a blue dial 15400 should be 1 year plus at most boutiques.
I put a down a deposit for a blue 15400 at the beginning of the year with the NYC boutique. I mentioned this in a previous thread, but from what I can tell there are 2 lists. The "interested" list and the "firm/deposit" list. I put my name down on the first list in early/mid 2017. My Sales Specialist said he would get in touch with me when they were able to start accepting deposits for 2018 allocations. At that point all the 2017 slots were spoken for. He reached out to me in January with a 2018 slot ... I'm hoping my watch arrives this month or next!

The Las Vegas boutique may not have shorter wait times but I have always had a more pleasant experience there than the Beverly Hills location, if you are based on the west coast could be worth reaching out to them since its so easy to get over to Vegas.

2018 is gone from all my conversations (nyc, Miami, vegas). Vegas said 2017 they got 11 15400 blue. This year only 5. Did all the brands get together about s.s models??? Sheesh! Getting tight out there! Pimpin is in fact, not easy!

Go to the boutique, people quote timeframes but things are generally better when you actually go :)

Bal Harbour and Vegas were both great on the phone. Totally forthcoming with info, no b.s. NYC couldn’t hang up on me fast enough.

I emailed several boutiques. No one bothered to respond to me.

For what it’s worth, I walked into an AP dealer in Europe asking about a 15450 Blue. After some hemming and hawing about wait lists and requirements to buy other models the salesperson told me they had just received one and I could walk out with it that day. I was very tempted but couldn’t pull the trigger this time.
Of course now I wonder if I will ever see one again... |
