I'm signing up for the Seat Master and staying away from the Yard Master.

Very funny indeed!
This should be the official Rolex April Fools Day announcement of new models.

I checked back with the product manager at Rolex SA, and here is the correspondence:

Subject: RE: Yard-Master

Hamstur,

Yes, but I would recommend against this. Remember this is a precious metal model, and like Gollum in LotR, we understand our distinguishing client do not want to damage their "precious." We are working diligently on a new model (ref. 216710), the Supmariner. As the name implies, the Supmariner is a combination of supra and mariner. Like the Seat-Dweller, though the Supmariner is has a depth rating of 200 meters (11 times the basic scuba certification depth), we do not recommend even washing hands while wearing this watch.

The great news? We have a Sup model in the works ref. 216710JD John Deere edition, designed specifically for your application.

Best regards,
Saab

Saab, as the moniker and press release suggests, the Yard-Master is designed for urban agricultural/defecate warfare. Is it mower and beer safe?

Thanks!

PRESS RELEASE

Geneva, Friday 20 June 2018 - In response to public outpouring of support for the upcoming stainless models, Rolex would like to assess our marketing, distribution and retail strategy with a very special model.

The Cosmograph Graytona. Who hasn't heard of the age old motto "if you can't beat them, join them" - certainly Hans Wilsdorf has, and that legacy lives on today. In 2019, the very popular 116500 in white will be replaced with the 116501 model. With this model, we eliminate the official Rolex retailer and have partnered with grey market dealers to form a partnership called the Fraternité of Unauthorized Authorized Dealers, or "F U ADs" for short. The white dial Cosmograph is thus an exclusive Grey Dealer Daytona, hence the moniker "Graytona."

To ensure extreme exclusivity and as an homage to the Daytona 500 race, only 500 pieces of this model will be made with the same MSRP of $12,400. The F U AD may sell this piece at whatever price point they wish, with every dollar above MSRP being shared 50/50 by the dealer and Rolex SA.
