Milgauss on Everest

Very comfortable, FYI. Well-made product. Easy to swap.

Heard Everest wears quicker than RubberB.

Why did you choose Everest?

Preferred the tang buckle on Everest. Didn’t like how the rubber b needs your Rolex clasp.

Just before deciding on a DJ41 (which I eventually bought), I saw the Migauss. I have to say I like the green tint of the sapphire glass, and the black dial but the lighting bolt second hand never sat well with me and I did not go for it.

However seeing what you’ve done here just by changing the bracelet for a rubber strap, I have to say it’s a very refreshing look to the Milgauss. Makes me wonder if I should have picked that up instead of the DJ41 (although I do still like the DJ41).

Sorry, I've never seen a Rolex that looked better on a rubber strap.

Totally agree. But I can’t dial-in the fit on the milgauss bracelet. Tried all configurations.

Some guy on eBay had his glidelock clasp center polished. Eventually, I plan to source one and pay up.

The milgauss is a wacky watch. The DJ41 is clearly a better all-around piece. Sure you did just fine.

Not for me. Frankly, I don’t get the whole rubber strap thing. Rolex makes a beautifully engineered bracelet and to substitute it for a mass produced rubber strap makes no sense. And it just cheapens the Rolex. Why spend thousands of dollars and then wear it on a cheap strap. Better off buying a citizen or Seiko SK series.

Me too Brian, I was expecting to see Everest Base-Camp or something until I realised it's the wrong time of year .

Some great photos by the way.

I have my white-dial on an Everest, too. And I preferred the Everest to Rubber B for the same reason you did, it has the tang and buckle instead of deployment clasp.

The strap looks fantastic. I bought an Everest for my BB GMT and have no regrets. It is the best strap for summer.

You're going to be really disappointed when you realise that Rolex bracelets are also mass-produced.

Look closely friend. Subs on a leather NATO not an obnoxious kindergarten colored strap made of plastic....err..Rubber

You turned a Rolex into a Swatch. If that’s cool for you than rock with pride. But if deep down you realize it looks silly then it’s ok to put the oyster steel bracelet back on and enjoy it. You won’t even have to tell us
