Datejust 36mm Blue Dial Gold Sticks

IMG_1154.jpeg

I bought the watch in 1980. By trading in a Bulova I received 10% off. I ordered a blue dial and assumed it would have silver sticks. When it came in the sales associate said they made a mistake by placing gold sticks on it.

At the time the watch cost around $800 and I would have loved to have had a two tone. I took it anyway and wore it for years day and night!
Still my favorite and most comfortable!

I really like the 16710 and the strap daytona for comfort.

The pepsi for me... it’s because of the bracelet. It’s like a leather strap, but metal.

“Rollie” should be removed from the vernacular. Nice Rolex though.

Most comfortable Rollie I -don't- own () anymore was my DJ 16234 on a jubilee bracelet.
My grail is the Bluesy 116613 but this reference is less comfortable as mentioned DJ.

BTW I always liked the nickname ROLLIE

Most comfortable Rolex I own is my Datejust II. But the most comfortable watch I own is easily my Seamaster SMP 300m on OEM rubber strap

Tough call but one of my GMT's on the jubilee bracelet would be the most comfortable.
