From my understanding just getting the first shot doesn’t immunize you from the virus. Even after the second you will still catch it just not be as symptomatic (again, this is my understanding). He was an old dude, could have been any number of things that got him though.

He will be missed for sure, I believe with his negro league home runs being counted he is 7 HR away from Barry and surely Hank didn’t have any enhancements. One of the best ball players ever and as far as I am concerned a good man as well. RIP Hank.

People die for all sorts of reasons, even during a pandemic. According the latest numbers from the CDC, in the over 85 age group to which Mr. Aaron was a part of, positive tests for Covid have been recorded in 11% of death certificates filed since Jan 1 2020. Not to say that isn't a high number, but it still means that 9 out 10 people passing in that age group, did not test positive for Covid.

Bonds' name shouldn't be uttered in the same breath as Aaron's. A little trivia: Stanley Burrell's stage name is an homage to Hammerin' Hank Aaron.

I agree, however Bond’s stats are still official as to my knowledge. Did you catch the part about certainly Hank wasn’t using any enhancements?

Plenty lies are official. I've never been made aware of any malfeasance on the part of Hank Aaron.

Me either. Just stating what’s publicly available as official. Not trying to take anything from Hank, IMO he was a great person (on and off the field). Here’s a link to a news article from a guy in my county who grew up with Hank. https://www.mysuncoast.com/2021/01/2...nd-hank-aaron/

I clearly remember his 715. I was at the mall with my parents, and (as I remember) his first at bat came up, whatever he did it wasn’t a homer. I remember people crowded around the glass of a department store or something that had a TV in it. We bought what we had to and rushed home. There, we saw it on TV. For some reason, I think it was on a Monday evening(?). A coveted childhood memory.

Shout out to a nice reference and bit of trivia from an Oakland resident.

The things Jackie and Hank had to go through and the way they conducted themselves should be a history lesson and blueprint for every parent raising a child. You could do much worse.

R.I.P. Mr Aaron
