Watch Winders (Wolf, etc.)
Do you guys/gals use watch winders when not wearing your watches? I've seen 2 different takes. One that says they are good for your watch as it keeps the gears oiled/lubricated. The contrast says it is not good as it makes your watch more prone to service and its just better to wear on your wrist, unless its a watch with complications. Is there any truth to this? Overall thoughts?

Wear the watch when using it and give it a rest when not.
Occasional use better than none. Constant use more wear than necessary. Also I'd rather wear the watch that way temperature is likely higher and better for lubrication. |

Seeing that you already know the different takes on watch-winders, I'm assuming you already read threads on it and already know how people will answer this.

I picked up a Wolf 3 watch winder around Black Friday...they had some ridiculous 70% off sale. It is a beautiful piece in my opinion, very nice to display your watches. I never minded manually winding and resetting the time, but it is very convenient to grab and go. I feel like I'm more inclined to mix things up every few days knowing I don't have to keep winding/set time every time it stops. Daytona and Sub are so simple, but my 16710 GMT is a pain to set comparatively.

It's a beautiful watch display case and it's very nice having my favorites pieces ready to go. Not really ideal to set time, date, day, moon phase, etc., on my way out of the house. |

I have a beautiful Wolf Roadster for my 3 watches, but yeah, after reading the two trains of thought on here....it's basically turned into a fancy display case. I never turn them on.
