Explorer 214270 Incoming!

Always wanted to do one of these posts.

I received my Explorer at the weekend. I had to wait roughly 4 months. I spoke to my AD maybe 4 times in those months. Just checking in.

The new watch, is perfect in my eyes. 36mm wouldn’t suit me with a steel sports. I honestly don’t feel like the Explorer is a large or wide watch. Some people have said that the proportions of the dial are off. Due to the simplicity of the dial, there is too much “empty” space. I can honestly say I don’t agree with that. In my eyes it’s perfect to me. That’s what it’s about. Make your own opinion on the watch, if it sings to you. Go for it!

My Mrs just had our first child 8 weeks ago (Leo). I can’t wait to wear this watch along with my other ones, watching him grow up!

Cheers.

Nice, just saw your earlier thread on whether to wait or get in ASAP. Good choice, I love my Explorer, short hands, and I hope you enjoy yours just as much ( and congratulations on your new son)

Congrats on getting the Explorer. It's a handsome, rugged, 'under-the-radar' timepiece with a nice history. Hope it brings you much watch-wearing enjoyment.

I just picked one up last week also. So far it is the best all around watch i have ever owned and checks all the boxes. I was lucky and purchased it from a local AD with zero history or wait time.

Beautiful. Enjoy it in good health.

Its shock-absorbers make it the perfect companion for all the adventures and exploring that you'll be doing alongside Leo.
