I agree the odds that the AD would affirmatively find out are low, but I think the odds the AD would assume (rightly or wrongly) the OP flipped the watch if he never wears it back in the store are actually pretty high.

I would agree, if hesitant to make a $10k luxury watch purchase, one should rethink their decision and not make rash decision under-pressure.

I hear you, but it’s not really a rash decision. When you know for certain that you can get your money back (and then some), it’s a solid decision. It’s not much pressure at all, it’s a no brainer.

I cannot believe this is even a question. It’s like being asked “ do you want $5k or should I just hand it to the next guy in line?”

Buy it! You hand them 10k, and they hand you back 15k, and then you go home.

Buy it and keep both ...or buy it and sell one and make a profit but don't complain when the prices are above retail on the secondary market and you cant get anymore hard to gets.

Obviously you like the watch, if all your other financial obligations are in order, I’ll say go for it but I wouldn’t sell the explorer unless financiallly I had to.

Well, she came home with me! Happy 45th birthday to me
Please excuse all the fuzz and dust - in my haste, I neglected to clean it for the shot.

Sadly, and because of this market, you should just probably get it. I would 100% get it but also wear it, I saw it on the wild the other day at my AD. The guy was coming in to grab another SS Rolex. That's how relationships are. Most don't get it, but you do get the call.

If you have that AD relationship is because you deserve to have it probably, at least that's what the AD thinks. I would not flip it though, as probably your AD will know and put you on a black list.
