My grail watch was either a 15202 or 5402.

Got in contact with AP Boutique and was told 8 year waiting for the 15202.

Then happened something unexpected, I found a 5402 D Serie from the 1 owner who got it as a gift in 1981 who wanted to sell it fast but also to someone who will really enjoy it.

We agreed on a price and the rest is history.

I filling like a kid on Christmas Day right now.

Wow! Glad it worked out. Followed the other thread, and thought the price was too good to be true. Let me be the first to eat crow and congratulate you on a stunning piece!

Congrats!!!

Curious - does the D serial come with a dark blue dial (or is it lighting too?)? I was under the impression that the 5402 all had the greyish black dial.

Thanks

Yes most of the time it looks grey/black but it’s actually called blue dial by AP.

The blue comes out depending on the lighting.
