Back to Rolex FOR GOOD from AP

I loved this watch but changing the date on the 1st, the crown/stem came out.

It's been repaired under warranty but I've lost confidence in the brand!

Rolex for me from now??

1 problem and you lose confidence in a brand? Rolex isn't perfect based on a number of threads.

Funny, I've had the same exact thing happen to a Rolex explorer 2

Apparently a step back as well

Audemars Piguet are a far more exclusive and higher watch company than Rolex

May I suggest a Gshock? Even more robust than Rolex.

I had that happen with an Omega. Small screw is all that had backed out.

BTW similar design used by AP, Rolex and Omega...

All mechanical watches can have problems. I've had to send watch back after repair to Rolex, AP and VC. But in the end, it's your choice of course.

It's a machine. Machines break once in a while.

That sounds rather drastic. Everything needs a repair sooner or later no matter how prestigious the brand.

At the end of the day. I had the AP repaired under warranty and I've sold it for a £900 profit and I've bought a ceramic daytona. I am delighted!

Hmmm, mods moved your Rolex thread here--well now you have two threads in AP sub forum complaining.

Enjoy the Daytona

PS update your signature--take that horrible AP off

That happened to my wife's PP too. But no big deal. Just stuck it back and the watch still works fine. Just mention it at the next service.

My AP caught fire on a plane flight a few weeks back.

Or was that my galaxy note phone?

Either way, enjoy the Rolex.

The OP had AP repair (which they did under warranty) and he already sold.

He's bringing this up now after he bought his Daytona.

Lame.
