Royal Oak offshore all year round watch?
I own the 44 mm Royal Oak Offshore in rose gold. Now that's its fall and getting cooler I find myself wondering if, due to the rubber strap, this is not more of a summer/vacation watch rather than an all year around watch? What's the general consensus on this? Can the Offshores be worn through the winter? Maybe I'm overthinking this...but I'm fairly particular about these things...

sure, why not? If rubber bothers you buy the grand prix strap and call it a day.

Too big and heavy IMO for a daily wear

Rubber can be worn in winter no problem, if anything it is a colder weather watch as it can get hot and sweaty in the summer heat.

Wear it year round!
Rubber is great in the summer, and more than fine in the winter. |

Yeah I didn't mean daily wear... rather asking if it's a good watch for any season or more just warmer months/climate? I wouldn't daily wear this one... more like a weekend casual piece for me...

Depending on where you live.
If you live in Canada, it may clash with your bear skin coat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's not an all year watch, read the manual... It's states it should be worn like "white pants", Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Myself, I'm a rebel and I wear it all year long. I roll with rubber in the summer (for the sweat) and leather the rest of the time. Buy the black gator strap if you don't want the rubber all year. |

This. Actually I only wear it for weekend. I think it's fine in winter but probably a leather strap will be better

Wear it every day, I'm a huge fan of the rubber in the summer/leather in the winter strap combo to mix it up.

It's a heavy watch for a daily wearer but the rubber makes it very comfortable year round.
And I'm in NYC so the cold weather is starting to set in. |
