Ap royal oak 18k help
I'm not well versed when it comes to AP watches. The one pictured below is being offered to me. It has a thin case, 38mm diameter excluding crown, diamond hour markers and monoblock case. The case back has No. 422. Not sure what it means but I guess this is not the model reference number. I don't want to open the watch since its not yet mine to check the reference number.
Can anyone tell me what model this is and approximately what year it came out? |

My guess it's from the 80's or 90's. You may want to post your question on Timezone in the AP section. There are some experts there.

The bezel screws are installed incorrectly. I would be wary of this watch.

I'd need to be convinced that this is a genuine AP, irrespective of vintage.

That was the fault of the owner. He said he tried to open it before to check the reference number but did not realize that the screw on top was somehow connected to the screw at the back case. he was not able to put the screws on top in its proper arrangement.

Really horrible polishing.
The screws on the bezel are installed wrong, so I wonder what kind of watchmaker has worked on it. More and better pics would be needed. What about the gold stamps?
