Trade 2 Rolex for an AP ROO

Need help, trade 2 Rolex for 1 AP ROO
I posted this on the Rolex side but want some AP experts to help. I am thinking of getting the 44mm Royal Oak offshore titanium and ceramic. I would sell my current Rolexes to fund the purchase.
Sell my 126600 Sea Dweller and sell my GMT II 16710 BLRO A Series never polished and recently serviced by RSC Dallas. Don’t wear the GMT anymore (too small, 8” wrist). Tried other brands but AP ticks all the boxes, size, chrono, date, sporty, dressy etc. What would you do?

The AP looks like a good size for you. Dont think it is as versatile as the other 2 watches though. But the 2 divers seem redundant. I say sell the gmt and pick up the AP.

I have the 44mm Ti myself and absolutely enjoy wearing it in regular rotation. If this was my decision, I would move the Rolex for this AP. It all comes down to personal preference.

That AP looks great on you. You should definitely find a way to get in on your wrist.

+1. The 44 looks like a match for your wrist

I wouldn't hesitate on moving those two pieces to fund the AP as I suspect the 44 to take over on wrist time

This watch is totally sporty and not dressy at all. It is difficult to argue with AP although I am personally a Royal Oak fan and not an offshore fan. This looks like it has the ceremet Bezel on it. Rubber strap is nice as well.

If you have never owned an AP before, please be aware that they patina rather easily and for whatever reason it is rather obvious. I’ve never understood why Rolex looks better with scratches and AP doesn’t.

Reasonable trade.

Just purely from a size perspective Id say yes. 8 inch wrist makes the Rolexes lady size for you. How about Panerai and U-boat.

I’ve looked at other brands. Panerai is nice but I want a chronograph. The only other chrono that caught my eye was the Tag Heuer Carrera 01 Skeleton dial 45mm. I can get that without selling anything, lol.

Dump the Rolexes, they are so common, everyone wears one. Go with the AP they are not common and stand out from the herd.

I would do the trade of course, though if you could keep the SD that would be the best solution as with 8 inch wrists it is with the Deep Sea the only Rolex which is a good fit for you, but if you need to sell it to finance the AP purchase do it, AP is just on another level and the TI 44 is a great watch and IMHO priced pretty reasonably for what it is. So yes trade you won't regret

It looks good ! But that strap looks like a little tight, so would also enquire about the XL rubber strap alongside it.

I’d do it, it’s easy to add back a Rolex if you really miss either of them. With an 8” wrist I don’t think you’ll find anything else at this level that looks even half as good.

For me I say keep the SD43 and let the Pepsi go. I have a 9inch wrist and the SD43 looks perfect. You can get away with wearing the SD43 in almost any circumstance where as the AP can’t be dressed up at all. If you have he AP and the SD43 that’s a pretty good duo for my mind

Do it. You have big wrists and that ROO sits well.

A while ago I sold three Rolex to buy 2 APs (SS Diver and 15400). Two years later the APs went and I came home to Rolex.

Ha, very different from the Rolex forum's answers, as you'd expect, go for the AP all the way!

Thanks all, yes slightly different answers than on the Rolex side. I’ll always love Rolex and I’m sure I’ll buy one again. But a watch that has the perfect size, chrono function, and looks... this is what I see in the AP.
Yes I will need the xl strap. Big watch, small band come on AP. Lol!

Dude, that watch is SICK. Just pulled the trigger on my first AP and I think my next one will be a 42mm ROO. But with your wrists, you have much better options in the 44mm range, and that watch is exactly what I would want in a diver-- titanium and ceramic, and it's freaking amazing looking.

I would do it and not look back. Good luck

Oh, and go Dodgers (so pumped about the Machado trade).

Where do you guys think best place to buy. Are these pieces discounted. Boutique I would imagine no, but what about AD?
Will they come close to a trusted seller price?
