3970

I had the chance to try this one on at watches of Switzerland at the Wynn. Cool piece but really hard for me to not consider this a tiny watch. Somehow it kinda worked on my wrist though.

Does anyone have experience with 36mm watches like this one or the 2499 / 5004?

Felt the same way originally about my 3940 (I have a 7 inch wrist) but you quickly get used to it. Then 40mm watches feel too big when you first put them on. I suspect the 3970 has more wrist presence that the 3940 given added thickness and the pushers

Agreed. It is just too small for wrists ~7" or larger. And its thickness at nearly 13 mm does not help.

I daily a 3940g, small 6.3” wrist so the size works great for me!

Thanks, yes I remember switching from my ROO to a 5205 felt like a huge difference, however the 3970 really did feel tiny. Anyway I’m sure I would get used to it but honestly a 5270 seems to be a better fit

Size is subjective as it depends on what you're used to seeing. Someone who is used to wearing vintage watches will tend to find modern pieces too big, out of proportion on the wrist (whatever its size). And vice versa.

The 3970 is a very nice watch but if you're used to wearing bigger ones, it might be an issue, especially if you're already attracted by a 5270, which by the way seems to sit very nicely on your wrist.
