Rolex advertisement

I've been looking for a good condition example of this ad, as it's the one that hits closest to home for me. I'm a Naval Academy grad, and I just love how they tie his ring into the the photo.

I'm a former helicopter pilot, so no sub for me while flying (flew with the 16710 instead), but I do have the Hulk now...that kind of counts? Haha. I also got out at 10 years prior to making O-4, but my wife is currently an HR officer in the Navy and is a LCDR, so I think she'll appreciate it as a Rolex owner herself (I hope - she hasn't gotten home to see the stupid things I buy just yet).

Went with an older looking Navy blue frame and khaki matting to tie it all in. The ad is also "floated", giving it that 3-D look. Just love everything about it.

Definitely a great resource! I was able to find mine on the big auction site for half the price though.

Also, update - wife LOVED it! She even wants to display it around the house, not just my office, haha.

Very cool. Nice framing job as well.

Rolex ads are great and a fun time capsule. Especially this one for you.

I always loved this picture that floats around the internet and thought it would be a good ad.

Has a rather modern rugged Rolex lifestyle vibe.

That’s pretty cool. I haven’t seen those presented as art quite yet, but that looks great like that.

Also thank you and your wife for your service. Former military as well. Only sorta Navy though. Lol

That is a sweet shot! I'll have to copy that stance and have my wife take a pic of me one of these days.

Rolex made some great advertisements.
I used to dream reading the National Geographic looking at these ads.

Totally understand why you want this one.

I love it! Certainly deserves to be framed and I've wanted to add some of these to my collection for a while.

The grad ring cost more than the watch back then...
