What was the problem? And was rsc able to find the root cause? The Skydweller is a fairly new watch to be seeing this happening

Regardless, love the watch.  I was looking for more of a "dress watch" but wanted to be able to feel comfortable wearing with Jeans and a T shirt as well as a suit.   Thought hard, and in the end decided on a 326933 with a white dial. My fashionista daughters gave me the thumbs up so that's good   It is definitely a large watch but it fits comfortably on my wrist (7 1/4").  Not a problem at all.

If your date didn’t change in the morning, I think that your watch was still set in AM overnight. I don’t believe that the watch resets the hours when you make a full cycle around the date. Did the problem resolve?

Otherwise, you’ll have to reset the local time (main hands) to make sure it is in the correct AM or PM setting.

Yes everything is working fine now and the data is changing at midnight. Thanks for checking.

I was almost certain the hands were aligned with AM/PM before I was playing around with the position 2 features. So that's what made me conclude it must reset somehow. I'm not going to play with it now. I'm sure you're right. But I'm flying to London in a few weeks and I'll just pay attention to what happens when I move the hours past midnight for the flight. Thanks .

So I guess the GMT function of the skydweller or any other GMT watch becomes redundant for me in most cases, unless I’m travelling to those select few countries which have similar half hour time zones hence I think it’s better for me to just go for a datejust instead for my next purchase and save some money too

Wish there was a way to work around it. Since I also love the GMT master ii and would love to even add a root beer two tone or the Pepsi someday. And I know most would say it’s not about the function but the love for the watch and most people hardly ever use those added functions. But I’d like to have an option to use those functions and definitely would even use them if I’m paying such obscene amount for these watches!

If anyone has any knowledge about this particular issue, would be nice to know and also your views in general about this situation.

P.S. - currently own a steel sub black dial with date I purchased 2 years back.
I think what you’re looking for is a Daytona. Run the chronometer starting at noon at your local time zone and you have a 2nd time zone GMT on the bottom hours subdial as long as you keep your chrono running.

Okay that’s a really good idea! The 12 hour small dial at 9’ O clock can be used as home time and the main dial for 2nd time zone. But if we are travelling for 15-20 days, won’t the watch be affected anyhow for keeping the chrono on continuously for days or weeks at a time? And one issue would be is that it won’t let us know day-night. But can be managed I guess. Very good idea to convert Daytona into a GMT, I must say! Just that it shouldn’t affect the watch anyhow, though people say it has a vertical clutch so doesn’t put any additional pressure on the movement.

Great idea! I see two problems with that. 1) getting a Daytona and 2) getting a Daytona to try that with!

I think it might drain the power reserve on the watch to run the chrono but I don’t own a Daytona to know!

I’m curious to find out about the Skydweller and leap year. Since it has an annual calendar complication and this is a leap year, does the date jumps from February 29th to March 1st at midnight. Does anyone have any information regarding this, or it still needs to be reset on March 1st? Just a thought...has anyone experienced the leap year with their SkyDweller in 2016? Thank you in advance for your answers.

You'll need to correct the date at the end of Feb, no matter it is leap year or not. That's why it is an "annual" calendar, not perpetual.

To be more clear, if you don't do anything, the date will jump from Feb 29 to Feb 30 at midnight and to Feb 31 at the following midnight and to March 1 at the next midnight etc.

February is the one and only month you need to change manually every year

An annual calendar complication knows the difference between 30 & 31 days from March thru January. You have to reset the annual calendar on March 1st regardless of the last day in Feb.

A perpetual calendar complication will account for all the days in a year including leap years. Technically, as long as the watch is running, you will never have to set the date (up to a limit depending on maker).

Hope this helps.

It's out there, I mean I found one at retail. I would suggest maybe looking for it at multiple ADs.

Despite the size and thickness of the SkyD, I find it to fit under a dress shirt cuff nicely and comfortably.

So I went to an AD in Wailea and they told me straight up it’s a 1:1 or sometimes a 2:1 purchase ratio to get a stainless watch me sing if you buy a pm watch or 2 two watches they will bring out the stainless from the back. Since they can’t charge over retail they are using the sports models to move more expensive watches or less desirable watches. They offered me a hulk if I bought a ladies date just. The lists are a bunch of bs.
