Shelby GT500 - 2020 model

Anyone received a new GT500 yet? I hear they're being shipped to the dealers finally.

Yesterday I met with my local Ford dealer where I trade regularly and ordered one in performance blue. Apparently my order was the last allocation for this dealer for 2020.

It sounds like it will be a few months before it arrives. Has anyone else ordered the 2020 GT500 yet - and if you have, what did you hear for a delivery date?

Looks like I need to start looking for a buyer for my 2015 GT350, from the production run of 100 cars for 2015.

I asked my guy about it. Same guy that owns a Chevy dealership I referenced in another thread.

Truth be told, I’d much prefer the GT500 over the vette. He told me they are going for stupid mark ups and that I should wait. He sold me a 17 GT350 which seems like forever ago. Along with all my work vehicles.

Not super interested as ive got my sights elsewhere, but I’m a big mustang fan. And the reviews of this beast are off the charts.

I’m looking forward to your incoming thread.

2015 was a good year and low production. On top of only 100 they made 37 GT350Rs.

What color is your '15? Any add-on packages?

Technology package, 50th anniversary white with blue stripes. (I added the dark gray wheels a few months after it was purchased.)

Yes, the mark-ups are wild - $25,000-$30,000, even more for a carbon fiber package. I got mine for sticker or it wasn't going to happen.

Can anyone post the specs here (in a nutshell). Don’t need every last detail.

More pictures too please and thank you.

John, sounds like a heckuva machine ... can’t wait to see the incoming

I believe that is the Ford performance Blue color! Here are a few more photos with the carbon fiber package - to include that huge trunk wing.

Sick.

Did you order stripes as well? Same wheels?

The spoiler isn't bad. If it's in the rear view then you could unbolt it and save it for track days.

I didn't order the carbon fiber aka track pack.

I did order the white stripes.

I had an allocation lined up, but bailed a month into it. I really want to love the GT500, but I'm not ready to give up on rowing gears yet. I ended up switching my order over to a GT350R. I would love to get a ride in a 500 though. I bet they are a blast.

Congrats on the incoming. My best friend picked up a 2019 Shelby GT350 last weekend and I got to take it for a test run. Fast, fun, and great looking. I can only imagine what it'll be like driving the 2020 GT500. Enjoy.

I owned a 75 Mustang. It was so slow I was cruising down the highway and arrested for illegal parking. I switched to Porsche.
