Rolex aftermarket click springs

Hi all,

Is it acceptable for vintage pieces to have aftermarket click spring under the bezel? Does it affect its value much?

thanks

No. It does not affect value at all.

I think you might be taking this “all original” thing too far...

Aftermarket click-spring..

Isn't that a bent paper-clip?

Okay most vintages don’t have a click spring, they have a washer sitting underneath the bezel? Is that what you’re referring to?

Only the earlier modern subs have click springs, ala 16800, etc. mainly ones with a sapphire crystal.

Got it. Thanks.

Negligible to nil impact then. It’s a metal spring.
