Appreciate all the responses and it’s definitely reassuring to know that others have gone through the same thing. Honestly was a bit on the fence this morning so I tried wearing the 114060 today for the first time in a week (had been wearing the 16570 daily since getting it) and it felt like a metal brick sitting on my wrist. Even the maxi dial looked a little off. Now the chase for a 14060 and 16710 begins! Thank you all.

I love my tin can 5 digit oyster Bracelet. It’s fantastic for comfort and weight. I have no issues with the clasp either.

5 digit owners are always happy. Never does it occur to us that the lugs aren't square enough, bezels shiny enough, clasps not strong and heavy enough etc.

I did the exact same thing; went from 114060 to 16600 and love it (photos belong to Bob’s watches).

I have and love both 5&6 digit Subs and Gmtll's. If I had to choose, the 5s would stay and the 6s would reluctantly get the boot.

I have not. I wore my dad’s DJ from the early 80/ on a strap for a bit but gave it to my brother. I believe that was 34 mm though. DJ 36 is on the radar but farther down the road.

For me, the 16710 is the most perfectly proportioned watch ever. From comfort to size to weight, it just hits every wicket.

The 5-digits are just classic.

I do wear 6 digit references but somehow I always tend to go back to my 16600. So, I say yes do it.

I did the same thing cost and weight...i love my 5 digit...its iconic..but i don't agree with you on the clasp....i tried on so many subs that i could tell the difference if it was replaced.

Would be hard to argue against that...16710 is a superb watch!

The 5 digits will always have a following, myself included.

I just bought a 16570 Polar SEL, and the bracelet feels acceptably solid. Maybe not as solid as a 6-digit, but the perfect dimensions of the 5-digit case and lugs far outweighs the bracelet concern.

I have never gone from 5-digit to 6-digit, and never will. More than happy with what I have.

Trust me, go from 11 to 12. Best of both worlds, 5 feel with the ceramic bezel.

You're in a honeymoon phase with the new 5 digit, so I'd say don't trade your 114060 now. You'll probably fall in love with it again sooner than later so I'd wait. My 2c.

So just to update: ended up selling my 114060 and found a very clean, recently serviced 16710 to go along with my 16570. Tbh I don’t think I’ll miss that particular Sub. Will keep my eyes out for a 14060M but the new 126610LV is certainly on my mind as well. I tried it on and it is beautiful. It feels better on the wrist than the 114060 did although still not as comfy as the 5 series watches.

Don't know about value retention but I can say from a comfort perspective and for a 16-18cm type wrist.. 5 digits are great and great move!

Awesome collection! I’m halfway there haha. How do you like the 16660 vs the 16610? Was also considering it but not sure if my 16 cm wrist can handle it.

16600 is a touch thicker, better wrist presence to me and no bubble glass. Both are fantastic pieces.

Another shot of my SD here :-)
