Was working on the Jeep with the kid recently, took the 61 Gilt PCG 7928 off and put it on the seat. But yeh, they get worn.

The ONE concession I do is to wear the watch on a NATO. I drive with hand frequently out of daily driver Truck window. One day while wearing a Snowflake on a C&I, as soon as I brought hand inside truck one of the clasp pins failed and the watch fell to the floor of the truck. Thirty seconds earlier a vintage snowflake would have been run over on the road. Since it is either a NOS 93150 or a NATO.

Wear your watches. It’s what they’re for.

Too chicken to regularly wear my 1964 gilt 5513 with puffy lume plots. I'll wear it very occasionally inside the house.

It's a bit like collecting vintage wine with this particular watch - you don't actually drink it, even though that's what it's intended for.

I hear you, bro. My watches are 5513 late 80s and 16600 mid 90s so it’s a bit apples to oranges.

Air-cooled Porsches, too, sadly... Once the old rich guys decide something is the "thing" there's little slowing down.

I wear my 1675 daily because at the end of the day, in this crazy market, I can sell it for way more than I paid for it no matter how much wear/tear I put on it. These things are still road warriors.
