My condolences.
Curiosity is a funny thing. As a kid, I wondered what made my stepfather's binoculars work. That turned out to be an expensive education. Also as a kid, I wondered what would happen if you cut an electrical cord, so I cut a lamp cord with a scissors (it was still plugged in). I can't fault you for doing what you did. At least your mistake didn't nearly kill you. Good luck with the repairs. |

There is a 50% premium charged over the standard cost where the exchange part is not provided. And I wouldn’t be surprised at all if you make a habit of ‘losing’ the bezel Rolex will soon refuse to replace it any longer. |

Bummer but I love the tinkering. I know it was aluminum but I swapped my PO orange and black bezel all the time even had a homemade tool someone made out of silicon. Popped off in 2 seconds. I remember the bezel going for 200 or so. 500 is not bad for ceramic especially for Rolex.
I would love to know if independents have the Rolex tool or have they made their own etc. maybe they are certified with omega and an omega tool works? I know that tool used to go for 1000. It would just be interesting to know. I know if I had a tool to do it and not damage the bezel or the little silicon ring I would source a LV bezel for my Sub C. |

If you google 'Rolex 1019 tool' and you can see the tool and a variety of dies. The ring will typically before, snag or tear but is ultimately unusable regardless of the damage. |

Your balls are way bigger than mine. I didn’t take the watch out of my house for 3 days after getting it. You say hold my beer I’m taking this puppy apart. Good thing is if you can afford a Pepsi you can afford a repair.

When I broke mine (posted here in thread) it took almost 3 months for RSC to get and I believe the cost out the door was about $1500
Curious now on a stainless watch what the time frame and cost is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
