I travel quite a bit and wanted to get a gmt as well. I spent a month in Singapore hitting every rolex and Tudor AD looking for a explorer 2 or a black bay gmt. Could not find one to save my life. Almost bought a tag heuer monaco, a brietling navitimer during my stay but ended up not making a purchase. Came home and found an explorer 2 and bought it :)

Is it bad that I'm thinking about buying a preloved SS DJ36 with a blue dial? I really want the smooth bezel and nothing smaller than a 36.

I bought some nice chinos at target for $22.99. Felt good too.

I also bought a 1964 Fender Deluxe Amp for $1900. 22watts of vintage tube power, and dang it sounds good with a Strat.

Boom

No Rolex in Stock - What else are you shopping?

I bought a TT and a No Date this year, also own a JC and MilgaussGV. To me Rolex is the best but i have the same consideration as you, I travel a lot and want a timezone watch.

Have been on the ‘waiting-list’ for months now for a SkyD and a GMT II black.

Every-time when i check I get the same reply, “Rolex hasn’t sent us anything”.

Getting so tired of adjusting my submariners with date on the go that i’m now at a point willing to consider other brands.

Have started to look at Omega, they have a nice new aqua terra world timer coming out this quarter

I’m almost sold on it. Have some spare cash that’s waiting for a Rolex but want to spend it before my wife starts spending it on Chanel

Just bought the Apollo 11 50th anniversary speedmaster. Have to say I am very impressed with this piece and it looks simply stunning. Also definitely feels more premium than any other speedy I have seen. Lastly, the bracelet is incredible and true to its vintage form. I often compare it to my 15202 in terms of thinness and how it just drapes easily on the wrist.

I’ve seen a bunch of posts in this thread about Zenith El Primero’s.

Here’s my ChronoMaster I picked up a few weeks ago. Just came back from a service.

That is stunning. I may have to put that on my short list. I bet you will never see another one in the wild.

That Apollo watch looks tremendous. A vintage fender amp, great idea. I need something to get these GMTs off my mind, thanks for the ideas.

I'm assuming you are referring to this? I looked at both and like you I arrived at the same opinion.
