Best Rolex for legibility - what’s your suggestion?
I’d be interested to hear what your opinion as to which Rolex model is best for legibility? I’m talking all sorts of scenario from broad daylight (prefer one without too much glare) to 3am in the middle of the night to driving (and being able to tell the time with only a quick glance). I also wear glasses and it would be nice to have a watch that I could be able to easily read without the glasses.

In my view, the black-dial 41mm sub with AR coating is the most legible.

Sub, OP, Explorer or Milgauss
3 hands, no date, clear dial and good lume

FWIW, my 39mm Explorer I is the most legible watch I've ever owned by quite a bit. The markers/hands vs black matte dial has awesome contrast. The 39mm size is all dial and is often maligned (which may be fair) but the positive is the thing is like a damn clock on my wrist. The 3-6-9 markers serve as really good reference points, and no date.
If nothing else, it is truly a time checking machine. |

The 124060 wins, hands down, no contest easy win in the legibility stakes for the Submariner.

The larger lumed indices of the YM42 make it a very legible dial, day or night. And personally I happen to also prefer the legibility of the OP39 white dial.

126660 because it has a loupe effect on a gigantic dial.

I would say the 2254.50 Omega Seamaster is the most legible watch I've seen (and with amazing lume), but from the Rolex lineup the new Explorer with the AR coating has to be up there.
Also the white dial OPs.

Based on what I’ve owned from Rolex, I totally agree with this. The 39mm Explorer is very legible. However, the Pelagos is my most legible watch by a mile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

NOT a Daytona LOL. That is a very busy dial.
In my collection it is the Sub. |

As far as Rolex goes the Sub is the most legible I've seen. But it cannot begin to compare to my IWC 3717 for legibility. That watch, even though it's a chronometer with date and day is so easy to read in any lighting that it's a study in legibility others could learn from.
