Debaufre Ocean II mini Review

Ok well I got a Debaufre Ocean II (explorer II Homage) from a fellow TRFer
First impresions are wow this watch is a great value for the money. It is built like a tank and the fit and finish where superb. Bracelet is very solid much more so then then any Rolex I have owened and is right on par with my SMP.
Bracelet has SEL and nice brushed oyster links. The case is 42mm and is very solid, it is brushed with polished sides. It sports a ETA 2893-2. Water resistant to 1000ft /300m has a independent GMT hour hand and is just a overall solid watch.
The packageing was first class as well. it came with a nice inner and outer box that was simular in construction to my Omega..

I will post pics when I get some time but all I can say is this watch far surpased what I was expecting, so much so that I am thinking of buying a triton from them now.

In the end a great value for the money and this watch will not disapoint for a nice swiss made beater.

PS it hasent left my wrist in three days and counting. And IMHO has a very nice wrist precesince.

I bought an Ocean I in 2006 and have worn it as a beater but it still looks great and keeps great time. The Triton is a real "sleeper" if you ask me. It's one of those that looks good in pictures, but looks great on the wrist. It's a tank. You wouldn't be disappointed if you got one.

Here are some pictures. Please excuse the dust on the crystal I should have wiped it off first.

Love the AR coating on the crystal. I wish wish Rolex would do at least a layer on the inside, especially on the DSSD.

It really is a rugged watch. My one complant is the lume. It dosent last very long and is un even from the hands to the hour markers. The hands glow much briter then the hour markers.

Seen this (hands brighter than hour markers) before with some brands and it's done on purpose rather than being a fault.

Great looking watch. Should have found one of these rather than the Tourneau I picked up and had to return.

Been curious over this brand especially after seeing the prices. haha! Love that there are these watches with such high value, yet priced for regular guys like us.

Congrats!

Great looking watch Chris.
I bought a DeBaufre Ocean 39mm (Sub homage) for my wife 1 month ago on another forum. Paid approx $325 for it. She wanted to try a larger look and this was a safe way to try a larger watch. Very impressed with the quality, fit and finish of this watch. Keeping time within COSC and my wife loves it. I put it next to my 14060 and it holds it's own.
Great value with these DeBaufre models.
