Black stains on my wrist, please help!
I own a Oyster Perpetual in stainless steel. I love my watch and waited a long time to buy it.. but sadly, it's leaving big black marks on my skin every time I wash my hands or even if it's humid outside.
I want to contact Rolex to complaint but I don't know what to do. Their big customer service centers are too far away from me. I appreciate some help! Thanks D |

You posted in the wrong section - jokes and cartoons belong elsewhere...
You are kidding, of course, right? Now if not - then take it to any jeweler and have bracelet removed and ultrasonically cleaned...

Is it true that some people can have a skin reaction to Stainless Steel? If so maybe that is the cause. That looks serious?

Oddly enough, my wife has a mid-size Rolex oyster that looks very much like that one and when I clean her watch and dry it off with a t-shirt, the t-shirt has many dark grey specs on it. The steel definitely reacts with her skin a bit. This does not happen with mine. It seems like the photo though is more than one can believe. Just saying...

Why complain to Rolex?
Not happy with the black pattern?

Some people have issue with the nickel content in the 904L, it's well known. I think they even do the newer bracelets in that now as well, prior it was just the case/back if I recall.. I wonder if that is the issue?
Actually looking at that picture.. (Which is kinda blurry..) it looks more like ink! |

The pictures look like there were taken with a potato, and the bracelet looks fake. Where did you get this watch?

Hmm
First off, I do see an angry face in the smear!! I've had something similar when I've handled sooty charcoal, but printer toner will do something similar. Don't even ask why I know! Soap and a toothbrush should fix it. An ultrasonic cleaner, that would be best.
