If you can’t think of an exact match, how about one that is close?

The closest I can think of is the 328, it ticks all of your boxes except that it has a date.

All autos have dates. Most manuals don’t have dates (233 being a notable exception).

Beyond that, you could also consider what case type (Bettarini or 1950) and what bracelet type (“crown guard” style links or more standard style).

Good info, thanks!

Well then, if I went with a manual wind, what reference has the rest of the options above?

Manual wind, bracelet, 44mm...? I still think the 328 is the closest you get actually.

Hmmm, come to think of it, I think metal bracelets are only supplied with automatics. You might be able to source a metal bracelet and add it to a manual PAM, but that needs to be double-checked, as I remember there might be a difference in lugs between bracelet and non-bracelet models. Sorry I don’t remember the details.

As far as I know, the 005 was never available with a bracelet from factory. So that would have been added by the previous owner.

But more importantly, the bracelet doesn't seem to fit well on the watch, it looks bad!

Well, after further consideration, I am thinking of a different set up. If, I was OK with a chronograph movement, with no date, with crown guard, with a steel bracelet…. What reference would you recommend?
