Possible new addition

I have been lusting after this piece for a while now. I was finally able to make it to an AD to try it on and it looks even better in person. My only concern is that it may be too small for me. I normally wear watches that are 40-42mm(this is the 38mm version)as I have a 7” wrist. What are your thoughts?

It just so happens that I did a comparison on my 7.25” wrist this afternoon at an Omega boutique. I was pleased with the look of the 38mm, my only issue is the dial I want comes only on the 41mm.
The 38mm is plenty of watch, especially given the case height and the great bracelet.

I owned 39.2mm 2500 Aqua Terra for years. Since then I’ve tried on subsequent versions in both the 38 and 41/42mm sizes and come away with the same thoughts every time: The larger diameter version feels more balanced with the increased thickness due to the new movements, but is ultimately just a little too big. The 38mm version is a great diameter but feels out of proportion compared to how thick the watch is.

I’ve considered both but not talked myself into either of them.

Looks too small, go with the 41mm in a different dial color.

It would be nice to have some comparison pictures with the 41 mm on your wrist. It does look a little small but if it works for you, why not.

I think the 38mm case works great on your wrist. Also, I know what you mean about the silver dial in the Aqua Terra: it looks okay in photos, and then it knocks your socks off when you see it in person

I think they both look good on your wrist. I would probably lean towards the 41 though

The 38mm looks perfect.

Don’t over-think it, just buy and wear the one you like.

+1.

IMHO 38mm is a perfect size for watches without a dive bezel.

I think the 38 looks more classy and the 41 looks more sporty
Both work good on your wrist.
Congratulations

Agreed on the 38mm — fits well on you. Understated classic look.

Owner and appreciator of a 38 mm AT here. On your wrist, the 38 mm looks good; the 41 looks slightly better. Your wrist size is compatible with a wide range of case sizes…you can’t go wrong.

38mm for sure on your wrist. Plus the white is killer!

38mm is a great size for most wrists, including yours. I think it looks good but you could also go for the 41mm with no problem.

I prefer the 41 hands down. Looks more proportional to you wrist.

I think the 38mm looks just fine on your wrist. So does the 41mm.

Have owned several versions of the 41mm. I have a 7.25+ wrist. I would probably get a 38mm if I were to get another. Mostly because every watch I own, outside of my Meistersinger, is 41-42mm and above. I think the 38mm would be better suited for the dressier nature of the AT.

Besides, Bond wears the 38mm.... LOL.

He wore the 38mm in Skyfall which is why that is considered the OG.

He wore 41mm in Spectre.

Casino Royale 2220.80 and AT Skyfall are BY FAR the nicest looking Bond Watches and its not even close. Also why the secondary market on those is insane right now.

True! I will pick one of those up eventually. Have the Spectre 300 already, so makes sense to add the AT at some point.

At least, that is what I keep telling myself... LOL.

I love those variants but to me they are falling into Rolex territory on the used market. Not the Rolex price bracket but they aren't worth what people are asking for them IMHO. That's if you are lucky to find one.
