The 5320G is not discontinued to my knowledge. I did ask.

I do not have the list myself, so I can't say with absolute certainty. But I have seen the list, and know that it's dated December 20 (and was sent via email to ADs on that very same day).

so did you see if any of the 5990A, 5711J, 5230 and 5205 have been confirmed to be discontinued?

If I recall correctly, the 5990/1A was on the "new pricing" part of the list, and not the phased out part of the list.

I don't remember if I saw the 5711/1R or not. Can't confirm that one. Sorry.

5230G-014 remains and is adjusted for pricing. The phase out list had the 5230G-001 and 5230R-001 on it.

5205G-013 remains and is adjusted for pricing. The phase out list had the 5205G-001 and 5205G-010 on it.

Strangely, some of those already disappeared from the website before this list came out, so maybe this is the official confirmation.

I wish I paid attention to the 5711/1R, but I did not.

Since the list has been released I’m surprised there’s still so much disagreement about what has and hasn’t been discontinued.

These were the old „Hong Kong“ references. They are out of production since maybe two years, when they started printing „Beijing“ and changed the reference numbers.
Sounds strange to me. Are you 100 % sure you saw the latest run out list?

Thx so much for good info. I wonder if 5270p is on discontinued list?

Interesting how much confusion there is over this rumor. Some folks who have seen the phase-out list say the 5270P isn't on it (thus not discontinued), but who knows.

You mean the 5205R-001 (white dial) and 5205R-010 (black dial).

That's unfortunate. Both dials and metal is great for the watch. Here's hoping for a P down the line haha.

on the 5990A...

if you look at Chrono prices, things went absolutely crazy over the past week with most offers above $200K+ which tells me some people are aware of a discontinuation of this piece! unless there is something else.

I’ve often had the feeling that prices on Chrono24 are grossly inflated.

I think the sellers are adding ~15% fees (taxes + C24 fees), so yeah, the prices do appear to be a bit inflated. I'm curious what the actual market prices are compared to C24.

I tend to assume it’s possible to negotiate c.5-10% discount on C24 watches. I further assume if selling privately I would likely be able to sell at somewhere between c.15-25% below C24 prices. And if trading in or selling to a dealer, maybe between c.25-35% below C24 prices.

This is not based on experience, it’s just my assumptions to keep myself real and to support what I insure my watches for. So it could be nonsense.

Not really.

This is standard operating procedures for cancellations speculation.

The same thing happened last year with the John Mayer and Platona Daytonas.

Read this earlier today, and wondering how much credibility do they have? Are they just speculating or do they have actual proof or official evidence?

Is it possible 5712 could be discontinued this year as well? I’ve noticed there are 2022 models of almost every other Nautilus currently in production listed for sale already but there are no 2022 5712’s on Chrono as of yet.

The 5711r is still on the Feb price sheet with new price increase so would be unusual to then discontinue?

When is usually the actual ”run out list” official?
I thought it was around jan 1st?

Until then this is still all speculation!

It's 11.JAN.2022... LOL... Most AD's haven't got any new shipments yet... So nothing for flippers to flip... Just wait a few more weeks.

I visited the Salon in Geneva recently. We had a nice chat with the seller. He was very knowledgeable.
After a few weeks compiling and maturing our conversation, I realized something obvious... Patek does not need and maybe does not want to deal with the Aquanaut and Nautilus "new" customers. So...

What if...
What if PP would remove all the "simple" Nautilus and Aquanaut and only release/keep "grand complication" level ones so they would be "application only" (for a few years)?
This would solve most of the(ir) problems.

Remember:
- Distribution would be controlled by Geneva.
- These watches drive an enormous new crowd looking for the latest Instagram fad which PP find not interesting
- Most of the Nautilus and Aquanaut demand does not come from real PP fans.
- Some PP fans still want it and could get one.
- PP cannot deliver other models to the existing customers (no need to have bait products attracting more)
- Stern said he will never increase the global unit produced (even if he has empty space in the new building)
- The watches would still have exposure/marketing but on a very exclusive level
- This would allow to massively increase the prices (now these watches are retailed at a price way too low)
- The Nautilus and Aquanaut are no more displayed in the show cases in the salon in Geneva.
- All Stern's interviews

Real watch fans went from excited to get their watch, to impatient, to frustrated, to angry. This situation is not healthy, so hard decisions have to be made by the manufactures.

I know it is a crazy speculation... This could be one of those temporary hard decision.
