I love the watch and have no problem with the price because I am not in the intended buyer market.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist and i love the size of the of this new watch but I don't understand the price... it's more expensive than the Plat DD...

In my opinion it looks superb and better value than a steel PP that’s selling for multiples of its rrp. I can’t afford either so rather objective really.

Joke of the year already due to pricing! They are getting trashed across all social media sites.

Anyone bold enough to guess MRSP by year end? Same, less … or higher?

Steel 321 is $14k, Canopus gold Speedmaster 3861 is 45k, but this is double the price, it doesn’t add up.

It’s almost like Omega sees what the market is paying for some of the gold Rolex and decided to price it at market and see what happens. This watch isn’t Omega’s main revenue driver anyways, if it sells it sells, if not it won’t affect Omega’s bottom line much.

There’s a lot of choices in this range. Beauty but just not at that price.

This is not just twice the MSRP of a WG Daytona, but another $15k above the grey price for a 116509/blue dial. $10k above MSRP for a AP Royal Oak RG flyback chrono. Same as a Lange Datograph. Nuts.

If a company wants serious cash from me I'd like to be taken seriously as a customer. I'm getting the feeling that all of the big names are just taking the p*ss right now. Rolex and PP with their bundling, AP with their price hikes every few months, Panerai lying about their movements and now Omega with joke pricing for an otherwise desirable watch.

I agree, given the Canopus gold 3861 is 45k, and the premium of steel 321 over the steel 3861, I think 55k is more reasonable, and even then I am sure many would still call Omega crazy at 55k, but at least it makes more sense.

Then again lets not forget about the ultra light, it seems like Omega sometimes likes to throw a curveball

Sticking with steel, don't need my 321 wrapped in "Jamaican gold"
A great 1st #SpeedyTuesday of 2022 all the same

It's a gorgeous watch but I echo the sentiments that the price makes no sense. I would much rather have a 3861 Canopus Gold Speedmaster (I love that silver dial!), a steel 321, and $20k+ left over for whatever else I wanted from Omega. I could see the watch priced at $55k or for their asking price if it was in platinum but $81k for white gold is nuts.

Stunning watch. Stunning price.

This looks amazing and really appeals to me aesthetically. I’m sure it would feel amazing on the wrist. If it were half the price it’d be reasonable.

Omegas got jokes. I think I’ll buy a datograph or 5172G or Journe CMS. They can put down the crack pipe.

The same. I don't think Omega really cares how many of these watches they sell. Omega seems to have a self-imposed governor on the production of 321 watches.

I think Omega figured it out that the way to survive in the future is to go the Patek/Rolex/AP way - increase prices, limit supply and wait for the magic to happen. Good if you own Omega watches, sucks if you are trying to buy one.

right on point, unfortunately. but we are the ones that keep throwing all sorts of smoke bombs about how much these seemingly fine things elevate our status, how meaningful and justified all this is, and so on and so forth. there’s no deeper meaning, the market is partially turning into a joke

It is beautiful! That's why it hurts even more and hard to understand why they would price it at that ridiculous price which would stop people from buying it. They can make it difficult to get, won't blame them after all the things Rolex, AP and Patek are doing, but to make the piece more expensive than a 5172G is bonkers! I'm pissed because I want one, but I definitely won't be buying due to the price which is so frustrating.

Indeed. I was of the mindset that the Sedna speedy should have been a 321 at the asking price. Now I see where they will be headed for a sedna 321 it’s a disappointing. There doesn’t seem to be any logic applied to pricing. I guess they need to claw back that 3 million they blew on the speedy at auction lol

Loads of views here and understandably there's a lot of negativity towards the price, but, there is something quite nice about having an Omega out there that is 'aspirational' or 'not obtainable' due to the price.

The 321 SS is a gorgeous watch and the achievable option for most, but the idea that there's a pedestal watch that you'll never see anywhere makes it a bit special, something that actually has been missing from the Omega range.

I'd hope that you don't see them sink on the secondary as anyone who can comfortably drop this price on this watch probably isn't that bothered about moving it on...

I'm going to be brutally honest, price aside, this watch does absolutely nothing for me.

I find with the smaller case, the pushers and crown seem marginally oversized.

I feel the dial (although superbly assembled), is too cluttered with oversized hour/minute hands.

I find the 42mm Canopus Gold Speedmaster much better proportioned and attractive.

Just my 2-cents.

Wouldn't the "aspirational" speedy by the platinum 321?? It's got pieces of the freaking actual moon on the dial and is platinum and has the onyx dial etc...and significantly less expensive...I mean, I can't go outside and find a piece of the moon to put on the dial of this can-o-piss

If that's the play, they should have made it really aspirational, move straight to the top of the holy trinity.

Food for thought….. people are paying $75k for a steel sub and $6.5m for a steel Aquanaut. Is anybody really that surprised?

I know this ain’t a Patek, but this is the irrational market now.
