Nautilus polish
I think I know what the consensus will be but has anyone used anyone other than Patek for polish/laser welding a Nautilus for a ding/deep scratch?
I’m inclined to send to the factory but wanted to see what’s out there. |

I would use factory but if you are in Rome sometime. Perhaps
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=762543 Might be a good option. The work I have seen on their instagram account has been fantastic. @il_menzerna

Yeah it’ll be factory for me too. Actually decided to hold off until it’s more beaten up and/or needs service otherwise.

First off- I wouldn’t try it but a friend of mine had 2 light scratches on the brushed bezel of his 5711- used fiberglass pen and it looks like new! He used a more worn area and used straight unidirectional brush strokes- but he is an oral surgeon ;-)

Really? They took a year to service my 5170j. They took 6 months on my 5205 And they took 3 months on my 5980/1r (repair for stuck date wheel on new watch). They took 3 months on my 5127. If it's just 6 weeks, I'll be pleasantly surprised. ETA: To OP - factory or nothing my friend. |

Only by Patek. Also, I personally think that the scratches are a part of the watch's story..

Yep,
Only Patek for any kind of service. Dinged my 5711 shortly after I bought it (out of the store window) boy times have changed. They told me to hang on till have a few more then polish them out. I wear all my watches and build a bit of character…lol |
