Rolex problem

I bought my watch brand new 3 years ago, since that time I've had nothing but problems with it. It doesn't keep proper time, it constantly stop working if I don't wear it for a couple of days. I bought a watch winder which did not help. It continues to stop working. Two years ago I sent it in for repairs but I'm still having the same issues with it. I'm just really disappointed with it that I don't wont to be bothered with wearing it. Would this be considered a lemon and what recourse do I have if any?

Well...before the experts jump in...First, it is a mechanical watch. It should keep great time, within several seconds a day. That is IF you continue wearing it. Your wrist motion keeps it wound. If you put it down, the power reserve goes away. If you don't wear it, you may need to wind it, up to 40 turns, before you put it back on. I don't know about your winder...that should do the job. I doubt it is a 'lemon', it just needs to be worn/maintained properly.

A Rolex is a self winding watch... You have to wear it or it will stop.....

You have not described what you mean by "not accurate".

I wind it every time I wear it.It has stopped working while on my wrist so I believe it has mechanical problems. I have an oyster perpetual datejust. My hubby has a submariner and has commented on my watch having faulty internals. He thinks it needs an overhaul.

I have found that the 2235 cal movement has a very hard occillating weight rotor and sometimes it doesn't get riveted tightly enough to the weight, so as it spins it slips and doesn't wind your watch enough. Send it on down I'll make it work properly guaranteed. Rik

Obviously it was not fixed right the first time, surprising but it does happen. Why have you accepted this for so long, you are long past any lemon laws if any even were an option. Send it to Rik, he has done some great work and you can find many happy customers here in the forum.
