Would love to see some wrist shots of the offending items from locals. Ideally with surreptitious images of the proprietors in the background...

Yeah that would be quite good. To put pictures out of "Replica" watches on adverts is madness, unless of course thats the intention to dupe potential customers form the get go.

The term Library picture is used often enough when waiting on actuals for a lot of companies selling a variety of things. Although it is always stated and normal the photo is of the real deal. Be it a car or whatever

As a newbie on here and only in the past taking the plunge for big ticket items at the AD.

One i bought years ago not from an AD was cheap enough to take a bath on.

It makes you very hesitant about buying outside the AD network or trusted and vetted sellers on here.

its still a bait and switch textbook definition. As even if they are selling real ones, the way low prices on the fake pics means that what's being advertised is different than what they are selling in both price and product. Real ones dont trade for prices that low unless the dealer is an idiot.

Trading standards, Misrepresentation Act 1967.

Misrepresentation Act 1967. "The Misrepresentation Act exists to protect consumers from false or fraudulent claims that induce you into buying something or entering into a contract. It also allows you to claim damages.

Blatant.............

Green text on a BLNR?

Look at the alignment of the ROLEX text on the rehaut at 11.

Say nothing of the swing-tag...

the accessories are all wrong. cant tell too much from the pic of the watch. Price seems low. WF buys them for more than that. I know because i sold them mine for close to 3k more

so basically if its legit you cold buy it, sell it to WF and come out ahead

I’m going to get to bottom of this. If this place is selling fakes I’m going to expose it. An old couple were in there buying a DJ, it pains me to think that may have been a con too. Hopefully this is not the case and all is in order...

put in the details of that watch and get a quote from WF.... 2017 dated, 116655, apparently containing papers/card.... its going to come back higher than that list price which is clearly negotiable as all of these places list higher than what they will take.

which again begs the question.... why put it in the window when you can just sell it to WF??? And who would have sold it to them for what would have to be somewhere around £9k for them to then list it at 11?

Try it on though and see if its even gold. I would have major red flags going up about this place though

GMT-Master 116710 BLNR, Norwich, England

@Hendrikus Definitely selling fakes. I scrolled through a few of them, for instance check out this PP, biggest FLAW from the start, look at the Date Window. Font is wrong, date is not centered, and doesn’t fill the DW. Jesus Christ how is this place doing this.

Check out the Dates on these as well, look at how not centered it is and the font on a few others is incorrect. It’s super obvious. Not even decent fakes, like “canal street” ones instead. the “7” is not correct San Serif font.

It's junk.

I can maybe see one or two good fakes slipping past a used dealer over a period of time.
However, it appears to be a pattern in this case and not a coincidence, IMO.

It's another pos. Bezel numerals are typical China fake factory.

Something seriously needs to be done about this shop. Has anybody emailed Norwich trading standards?

I don't know enough yet about Rolexes to be able to explain the "Fakeness" of the watches to trading standards

Also, the red writing (of Yacht-Master) color is off. Authentic YM Oysterflex red is a richer and brighter red.

Wait, you mean those are bigger flaws than that bracelet and the bezel width?!?!?!

Actually, the off-center date alone wouldn't do it for me; after its last overhaul my 5065 date is slightly off-center, though far less noticeable as it still fills the date window to the degree it should.

This is beyond bad. This person or people need to be put out of business at a MINIMUM. Jail time would be more appropriate if they have stolen money from anyone by selling counterfeit merchandise. Would love to know how this plays out.
