£2000 enough to buy an Air-King?
Hey guys!
Spanking new to the forum. Great posts from so many people..nice work! Hope to learn some more and start a collection! I wanted to know, is there any AD in London you could recommend where I could possibly buy a second hand Air-king for around £2000? Would be great if there is... Read alot of great things about the air-king with it's cool history and I thought what great way to break into the wonderful Rolex family! Thanx! R |

Welcome to TRF R!
I'm sure one of our many UK boys will be able to help on a possible place to purchase. Enjoy the boards, Rob.

My recommendation is to also write to the Trusted Sellers right here on TRF.

Welcome to TRF!
I think that is quite possible to find AK for that amount, you`ll probably have to go for pre-loved, but that`s not bad at all! Air King is great choice, one of the last real classics out there!

Thanx so much for your help so far... really appreciate it. Making good progress!
Oh, I also, checked out bernardwatch.com and noticed they have a BBB A+ rating since 1999. Have any of you ever bought from them? Or can you give me a name or place you bought your piece from. Would be super grateful! |

its not an AD but i was in official watches at 460 green lanes lahndahn yesterday.. bizarrely enough marking my return to rolex with an AK 14000m,
id recommend them.. big stock of used rollies including some cracking AK's (-1 :D) supplied with a years warranty.. they can also be haggled with. |

Hi.
I used to have an Air King. Great watch. I got a 1997 for £1300. Knocked him down from about £1600. Cash might help with the price and you can get good discount if you try. Some small and individual jewelers do great deals on second hand Rolex's, so just look everywhere. AD's will probably charge more, but as long as the serial number is checked out and everything it is fine to buy elsewhere. Good luck! |
