Day date green dial YG

I am in the market to add my first day date in fact first PM rolex l, specifically day date yellow gold with green green dial.

My current collection : Daytona panda , SkyD blue, GMT sprit , Sub Black.

I wanted to know how hard to get this watch from AD these days or should I go gray , checked in few places with no luck.

One AD told me he can do special order but I have pay in full and wait. not sure if this is a good idea

Very desirable piece so pretty tough to land at AD but you can get all day long from reputable grey dealers

Yeah, if DDs are orderable again (and not just requestable), this is the first I've heard of it. Good news if so.

I would not pay in full until your AD can confirm an allocation of this exact watch sometime in 2024 or sooner and you are the first person who will get the nod when it arrives. Otherwise, just buy one off the internet.

There are 23 on Chrono24 at the moment with a low of 57K. So, I think this will be very hard to source from an AD without a significant relationship.

Only 23 !!! Is it that hard to get. I thought most of the DD are obtainable easily compared to other sport and SS models.

I will give him a call today to check the time frame

Usually yes but green dials especially on yellow gold are always a different story. Have a look at green dials Daytona or green dial gmt. Same applies to the daydate in yellow gold with green dial. Also, compared to steel models production is much lower so a marginal increase in demand compare to its other variations might result in substantial delays in obtaining one, if you have an acceptable spending history/profile with you AD you should definitely be able to get one at some point though otherwise unlikely

You are right green and yellow combo is special :) . I am kind of more hooked now than before knowing it’s hard to get , a typical Rolex FOMO hahaha

If you are fine with that, why not? I am also waiting in a couple of ADs for the same watch, it’s a cool one
