If there was a ROLEX movie, who should star in it?

There are so many movies about founders of this and that, why not ROLEX? The founders have interesting lives and stories, how they started, marriages, both wars, their rise, their fall, rise again. Rolex has had an amazing history and would be a really great movie (if written correctly).

So, who should star in it as the founders? I'm thinking Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt (the Daytona Brothers)

Maybe I could volunteer to be the watch duster or something like that

A documentary would be amazing... Following Vintage Dealers around the world, filming at Rolex Passion Meetings and watch shows, Interviewing famous collectors such as Eric Clapton. Viewing the private collections of some of the biggest vintage collectors (You know who you are) You'd also have to interview Sean Connery who made the submariner the watch that it is today. And also include footage of expeditions taken with Rolexes and the important men who lead those expeditions. Some of this has been documented but to put it all together would be awesome

Dear Doctor, you have a fascinating imagination -an horology costume drama...only 2 people could pull that off without the audience slipping off to slumberland before the final credits ran.

Interesting idea Linda but I don't believe DiCaprio would be the choice given his most recent affair with Tag Heuer!

Imo Rolex are already casting in most of the movies nowadays and having a cinematic movie dedicated to Rolex makes the brand more commercial and less hmmmmm maybe unique. But a documentary movie on tv or a book is a YES YES

I'm not sure a marketing juggernaut like Rolex, with so many outlets and sales into the millions of units a year could be called anything other than commercial

However, I think you take the tone of the thread a little too literally my friend

i guess you are rigt Alex but i believe a movie about a Rolex is a desperate direct way of advertisment and the current way of promoting it is indirect and better (having famous actors wearing Rolex but without emphsizing on it).
I just got excited cause this thread is intersting and has a new idea, besides the fact that i am on at home bored and on a sickleave

Clint Eastwood - Go ahead, make my day...date

And Tom Cruise for the Omega film. I feel the need—the need for a speed... master.

I'll get my coat.

I have that same photo of Brad Pitt wearing a Daytona in my gallery and it is OH SO STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!! Never tire of seeing it.

As for who would star in the film, if only the great Paul Newman were still with us.....

The movie would have to be a trilogy: "Rolex and the Raisers of the Lost Sub", "Rolex and the Temple of Omega", and finally "Rolex and the Quest for More Money"
