Vintage rolex ads from magazines

I'd like to find a couple vintage Rolex ads from old magazines to frame in my office. Particularly something with a Submariner or Daytona since I own these and they're my favourite.

I did find the Ad Patina website where I can buy the vintage ads but I'd like to try my hands at sourcing my own.

Any idea what magazines/catalogues Ad Patina uses to source? Or does anyone have any general recommendations of which old magazines I should be looking at?

As a kid in the early 70s, I remember seeing ads in Skin Diver Magazine and National Geographic. They were mostly Submariners and Explorers. Car & Driver and Motor Trend had Daytona ads. Those ads are what triggered my fascination with Rolex.
Good luck sourcing what you want.

I think it would be neat to source some old magazines or newspapers from libraries or online sellers for cheap. Perhaps a handful like 15-20. Then go on a scavenger hunt, find them, cut them out yourself, and frame them. Cool project, good luck.

Alternatively, you could find the highest resolution scanned ads as possible & then either send them to a printer, or put them in a 360dpi 8.5x11 Photoshop document & print them yourself. https://www.google.com/search?q=role...w=1905&bih=929

I've managed to collect a few from various sources such as magazine adverts from my AD and at my dentist's office, eBay, and Santa Claus aka Upper Management.

You might recognize the autograph on the 2nd one.

The last 2 are front and back of a magazine page from 1954. Apparently Moss Bros. in England are still around.

Love the old adverts in a time when it was a real luxury purchase that depreciated 30% as you walked out the door. They were the days.

I like the ones illustrated by Eric Fraser that apperared the the Illustrated London News in the 1950s. They come up on eBay, too.

Sorry - just read that you had found this website already. eBay then is your best bet!

I find it quite amazing that some eBay sellers even thought in the first place of selling Rolex ads pulled out of magazines

I find it odd most of the ones selling on ebay have them listed for around $15-$20, while adpatina has similar ones starting at $80 and up to $800.
