Incoming! 26470ST Vampire!

I'm very excited about this incoming! I have been consolidating my collection and sold 3 watches plus cash to get this one (116713LN, 79220B, TG Autavia 85th)

It will for me sit proudly next to my 15400st! One dress / sport, one out and out sport / casual.

When it's my turn for the 15202 I think my AP collection will be complete!

Haha! I guess I am, there's something about the octagonal bezel that really does it for me. I'm down to AP , Seiko and Tudor.

Though I still really like the IWC Portuguese annual calendar.

Is it the new one with the ceramic bezel?

No, it's the old version with the steel bezel and hornback strap. The new one is lovely except the bezel for me isn't quite right and the strap is a backwards step.

I did like the black bezel until saw it in closer detail.

What isn't quite right? The finishing?

On the website, the bezel has a fine vertical brushing appearance, in the photos I was shown of the real watch it appears smoother and shinier. IMO less classy than the stock images?

I tried on one at the NYC boutique and there was no brushing, which kind of ruins the watch for me. But, it was just the show model, so maybe the final version gets it right.

Super nice, congrats!

I think you made the right decision on going for the 'older' Vampire as well. The all black dial and tachymeter ring look much better against the steel bezel as opposed to the black ceramic.

Very nice. I see a pattern here. Guess another white dial watch next!

Actually a green! (Hulk)
The one on the right to the vampire is actually the blue enamel Seiko.
