Your Number 2 Watch Brand
Clearly, this is a Rolex/Tudor house, but everyone’s gotta have a number 2, right?
I think mine’s now officially Seiko. Always appreciated what Seiko does in innovation and having something for anyone’s budget. What’s your number 2? |

I prefer to think of Rolex & Tudor as separate lines...... for me #1 = Rolex, #2= Tudor

Have to chalk another one up for Seiko here.
Hugely significant brand historically, having given the Swiss a massive kick up the arse in the seventies. They might be the only watch brand that literally make everything in house. They make quartz, mechanical and electro-mechanical hybrid movements and are proven innovators. They produce cheap reliable everyday watches for the masses to ultra high end haute horology for the super-rich. If you can’t find a Seiko you don’t like, you’re either not looking hard enough, a brand snob or you don’t like watches.

For me its Panerai.
Im interested in other brands but I'm not into AP or Patek (great watches with rich histories but just not my thing). The overall design of Panerai speaks to me on a level that others don't. I guess you could say they've got soul (to me at least). Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

I don't think Roles is #1 for me anymore. If I went by wrist time it would be Seiko, followed by Tudor, followed by Omega and then Rolex. I have three Rolex watches but they do not get a lot of wrist time. Nothing against them and if you asked me, I would always say Rolex was the best. But that is not backed up by ownership or wear. Something to ponder.

Patek... followed by Rolex.
ALS is still my #1 brand, but still dont own one. Holding out for a Dato but try them on whenever i get the chance. Probably the minority having my #1 slot occupied by a brand i dont own

Based on what I own it would be Seiko. Based on what I’m interested in getting next it would be Zenith.

Well, if FPJ is #1, guess ALS is #2, then Rolex #3...

My favourite watches are Patek, ALS and VC, I cant really afford any of them. The brand I wear the most would be Seiko (GS and Prospex), my dress watch is JLC so I suppose that, that, in the scheme of things, is my second favourite of those I own.

Seiko by a mile, in fact it’s taken over from Rolex. Pound for pound and versatility Seiko matches any brand. I’d got kind of stuck with Rolex, I like new watches and straps etc and Seiko fulfils that need 100 times over. I’ve not went anywhere near Grand Seiko as yet as what I’m getting from the entry level and medium tier is super satisfying. Since January I’ve added 5 to the collection, absolutely love them to bits. So far I have;

Tough ?, made difficult because I have 2 Pateks, 1 AP RO, 5 Rolexes. 3 Seiko’s, 2 Omega’s and 1 Breitling plus 1 IWC with their famous cal 69. Right now enjoying my Rolex reference 15007 with the 3035 movement, gaining just over 1 sec per day.
