Incoming: SLGH003

This piece was on my radar and I was curious about the thinner Hi-beat movement. All of the past spring drive and Hi-beat models were both too thick and too big. The SLGH003 is the best fitting automatic GS I've ever tried on. I have a 16cm // 6.5" wrist for reference.

The dial is also a surprise to me. I thought the blue dial and red seconds hand looked lame in pictures. In person though everything works super well and the watch has a much sportier vibe than I expected. In hand it feels very high-end as well. The hour markers and hour/minute hands are really polished to the next level and gives the watch a pop. I'd say this is a winner vs. the new oyster perpetual or date-just. $10k price is a bit of an issue, but considering the amount of watch in this piece I struggle to think of a comparable at the price point.

Nice one. The movement on this watch is incredibly beautiful. Sadly I find the text on the dial a little unattractive.

Congrats!!! What a beauty.

Since you mentioned the OP / DJ, how would you compare the SLGH003 bracelet to an Oyster bracelet?

The SLGH003 bracelet is good, but the oyster is still better due to the micro-adjust. I think Rolex bracelets still feel studier as well though the GS bracelet is getting better. Overall no complaints on the bracelet, it's quite comfortable.

The lug width is also 22mm, so not great when it comes to inter-changing straps, but it feels appropriate for the case.

Thanks for the info. I have a deposit down on this so I'm glad to hear that the bracelet feels on the sturdier side and is comfy!

i love how the case is now a bit thinner; it's interesting how they decided to increase the width of the bracelet (from the more typical GS 20mm to 22mm) - and the visual impact it has, in combination with the thinner lugs.

I suppose it may be a challenge for many, me included, to ever get to handle or see one of these in person, given limited production and covid.. nevertheless, enjoy your new watch!!

Congrats! I miss the boat on this piece and now asking distributor if there is any leftover piece left for circulation. Great piece I love the thinness and the dial!

Beautiful piece. Congrats!

Tried it on at the NYC GS Boutique. Liked it, although that blue is super electric! Really pops in the light. I prefer blue that's more muted, but I understand the appeal. It's beautiful.

There’s always the SLGH005 coming next month. Will have to see the white birch in person but the blue sunburst is growing on me. The size is great though. GS really nailed that perfectly

Big congrats on a milestone reference for GS. I am excited to see the white birch version as soon as I can get out of the house.

Yeah I'm keenly anticipating that 005. I love your 003 because it comes in a very captivating colour combination, and it also comes in a unique long box. I love everything about this release! Are there anymore pieces left in HK? It's completely sold in Singapore!

All gone in HK. Apparently there were only 10 pieces allocated here. Does seem like vast majority were kept in Japan

Manhattan boutique has blue one in showroom.

Aksia just got to see white birch. Very nice.
