Hello from Italy... Again?
Greetings from Italy, TRF forums friends!
I had introduced myself a few days ago, but somehow my first posts seem to have vanished. So, here we go again! After many years of being a fly on the wall, listening carefully and learning from the wise men that populate these forums, it is a pleasure to finally gather the courage to step into the fishbowl and become a registered member myself. I don't think there is a watch in particular that started my passion for watches. As far as I remember, I have grown up with my nose against jewellery shop windows admiring those intriguing and beautiful machines that also tell time. I have a humble collection with a handful of watches I have bought to wear over the years, just because I liked them and not inspired by any preconceived strategy or aim to build THE collection. It just happened. They may not be the most collectable or desirable models from their respective manufacturer, but they all have something that sang to me. I love dearly each and every one of my watches and wearing them often reminds me of it. I prefer enjoying a few treasured watches that connect with my mood rather than embarking in a continuous chase or great variety. It breaks my heart even thinking about selling any of them. |
