Major Wall Street firms have bullish price targets into six figures on bitcoin today, specially with institutional inflow coming in fast and custodial issues being solved through institutions like BNY Melon. There will be volatility, but there are worst places to park money than BTC.

As someone who has been involved in crypto since 2017 (which isn't very long, but I've weathered 100 x gains and similar crashes) , buying at an ATH is rarely a great idea - however as history shows it's normally a matter of time.

I'd suggest DCA in at X000 per week over the next however long (So for 6 months it would be like 8k per week for 6 months) that way you protect yourself from massive crashes, although if it continues to spike it's ideal, but again you will have made money.

I love bitcoin, and the market is open 24/7, it's like dog years - 1 year in the stock market is 7 years in crypto.

My financial adviser of 40+ years says he would never touch any cryptocurrency.

Good enough advice for me.

YMMV.

DCA is probably the best way to approach it. The reality is that no one here knows if this is a good entry point or not. Could it be inflated and fall back to 30k, 10k, 5k? Yes. Could it continue marching up over 75k, 100k, 500k, etc.? Of course. Personally, I think crypto is only going to grow in acceptance and popularity so I’m bullish. But I’ve been wrong a lot too. No one knows for sure. DCA and sleep well at night.

The answer is always "yes." Could the market trip up and drop 40% over the next few weeks? Yes. Is Bitcoin's march to $1MM also inevitable? Yeah. Come on over to the "BLNR or Bitcoin" thread. The water's nice and warm over there!

Of course not, he doesn't understand it and doesn't make any money when you buy it. He knows what he knows. I'm pretty sure it will be worth a whole lot more in 10 years. Don't forget Ethereum. And yes, the best time to buy anything was always yesterday.

DavidSW accepts Bitcoin.

If you had bought Bitcoin a few years ago you'd have enough to buy several.

crypto is growing, it still has a very small base, i can not deny the fact that ive made money on other coins. I heard about btc from a friend in 2012, i wish everyday i had spent $1,000 on it. compared to other things i wasted money on, btc woulda been a much better buy lol

I asked myself this same question in June of last year I did buy crypto but not just BTC. I diversified into ETH and some obscure alt coins. I wonder if I would have taken that step if I was staring at the same prices today then.

I don’t think we fully comprehend the value of BTC and other Crypto and should not just base our decision on its relative exchange value to USD. (Except Mifune, who’s posts I have been reading and feel he has much deeper understanding of crypto)

Good luck on your decision Danny

I grabbed 2 Eth, 40k Doge and 1000 Cardano. Holding long term. Still kicking myself for not buying 3 BTC last March when it was in the 4,000’s (I let 2 people talk me out of it). I was going to buy 3 coins. Shoulda coulda woulda.... Now if Elon would stop tweeting about Crypto....

But would you still own the coins, or would you have cashed out when the stock had increased ten fold?

It would need nerves of steel to have kept them once the value had gone, say, past $1m

Base on your "question", I think you are better off buying S&P500 ETF, or even individual stocks. Oh Hey, TSLA is also on sales this week ... just sayin'
