Maybe it's just me, but even with limitless funds, I'd never want a Rolls manufactured after about '96. The BMW engine was the end of a Rolls being a Rolls (IMO).
The new rolls are boring and pretentious. Can’t stand them.

As far the leggings, they are either leggings or knee pads under the jeans. Either way- not a good look.

Only thing worse is a modern Bentley... Sad, really, as the UK used to make the world's most elegant vehicles, but those died about 20 years ago with the Jaguar X308, Range Rover P38a, Bentley Turbo R/RR Silver Spur and Bentley Continental (the "real" one).

Wait, that's somehow better than our (sarcastically-based) theories?

it's slightly better than thinking someone would wear knee pads under skinny jeans

The fastest, most beautiful, most opulent, most stylish... Audis ever built!

Which isn't a bad thing, per se (Ok, the Bentayga is a bad thing... AWD and excessive ground clearance don't belong on a Bentley, and the Q7 looks better), they just aren't Bentleys in my mind.

A Bentley (or a Rolls, for that matter) should look like its design was drafted on paper, its sheetmetal molded by hand, upholstery and trim hand cut and its engine's displacement recorded to the hundredth of a liter...

Then again, it's easy to say that when I drive an eight-year-old Volvo (with no plans to downgrade to a new car :) ).

I can’t argue with this. The continental is a nice daily driver but yeah...it’s an Audi underneath.

It’s a fake pic. More obvious when it’s pointed out.

More accurately, "nice" is being able to drop $200,000 on a "daily driver" in the first place.

And I agree, it's a fairly attractive car (though, as long as we're invoking Costanza in this thread, it looks a bit like an A7 that was in a cold pool too long...), just not a Bentley when compared to the 90s Continental two-door land yacht.

New meaning for the term "trick photography"
Can't believe even one person here thinks that is an authentic pic

How could I have missed that. Ofcourse it’s a real pic. I mean one of the gold 5711s is up to his elbow and is larger than the other two. Mush be that new stretchy bracelet that Patek is making.

And the ability to wrap a deployant clasp around a steering wheel. Dude must be Houdini. And finally to balance a couple of pieces on a steering wheel so perfectly. Magical.

Yup- real pic.

Right. This kind of desperation for attention gives watch collectors a bad name.

But don’t say that, you don’t want to insult GGGMT’s family.

This is one of the finest watch photos I have ever seen in 8 years on this forum. It’s artful and tasteful. Honors the love of watches and what we all strive for. Just fabulous!

James, the Bentley is off the hook! Two-tone?? Bad to the bone. Your wife is pumped! The peanut gallery is always critical of that which is beyond its reach.

I always thought the Patek message was one of elegance in simplicity. A ref. 1518 .AN would make a splendid one-watch statement.

Don’t see any evidence (other than claims) for the pic being fake, that’s that.

The shop in the background seems to be located in Hanoi, so quite sure the wealth is based on an equal opportunity and living wage paying business ;)

Possibly bad pincushion distortion in the foreground affecting the RG 5711's but everything else looks ok - who knows, impossible to really be certain these days.
