Need help in choosing a first Patek

I have been collecting watches for awhile but based on the cost of a nice Patek, obtaining one would be a big move. What do forum members think of 5960g? Is it worth selling 2-3 stainless steel rolexes to move up to a Patek? Do you feel uncomfortable wearing a watch that costs so much to the mall? To dinner? I don’t want a watch I never wear out of the house. Are Pateks more robust than APs?

Rolex is a very good tool watch and it is very good at that purpose. You get a handsome and reliable piece which you can just put on and do whatever you want.

Patek is a lot more refined if you are into details. If I use an analogy, Rolex is a nice cold beer to go with your summer BBQ and Patek is more like a glass of Bordeaux. They are perfect for each purpose/occasion which they are meant to be.

But only you know what you are looking for. The 5960G is probably more stealth than a Rolex if safety is what you are concerned with.

Depend......

What is the 2-3 stainless steel Rolex you selling....??

All I could say, the 5960G is more under the radar than any stainless steel Rolex....

Cheers,
