Depends what you want to use it for. If you want an actual luxury SS sports watch that you can swim with, one with good legibility and functions similar to other wrist watches of the 21st century, then choose the Aquanaut.
If you're looking for THE iconic design Gerald Genta first luxury sport concept watch with all the quirkiness of a 1970s movement (no second hand, no quick-set date, small difficult to wind non-screwdown crown with it's attendant low water resistance) then, by all means, get the 15202st. If you decide to buy the 15202st, for your sanity's sake, listen to 7sins, above ^ and buy a watch winder. If you decide on the Aquanaut follow the example of SL BRABUS and get the bracelet, it's not nearly the horror that it's made out to be and is the best SS bracelet that PP makes with a clasp that functions as well as anything on the market and it integrates beautifully with the case. The lack of taper gives it a very masculine look. |

absolutely correct. the 15202 is a piece of art and on a different level than the nautilus run-off aquanaut. and this comes from a PP fanboy like myself.

15202 as long as it is not the only watch.

If you're certain that you'd like one of these two to come home with you soon, then
- Jumbo looks better on your wrist and in general is a uniquely elegant design, absolute jewel on the wrist (and you should have already felt that when you tried it on). - The PP bracelet design could have been way more elegant, this significant part spoils the timepiece => 5167 case should therefore be matched with the rubber strap. - if you plan to wear outdoors or a lot in summer, then 5167 on rubber is a one-way choice between the two unless you have other timepiece(s) for the summer. If there is room in your mind to perhaps think abt it little bit more and also to consider other choices, you should possess the understanding that there plenty of equally satisfying options out there from the same and/or other manufactures of like or better quality and craftsmanship. Choose what is truly satisfying to wear, and also what is practical to carry on your wrist in the variety of situations you will select to wear it over. Choose what is also best to maintain more easily (date changes, setting time, servicing). Do not get dazzled by the words 'Jumbo', 'Patek' or by the inflated prices these models carry new or pre-owned. You're buying a timepiece to wear and enjoy. If however you're at an early stage of your haute horological journey and intend to flip later on, all the above do not apply. Get the AP and wear it carefully, the bracelet is a scratch magnet. The words "39 mm" and "Jumbo" for a Royal Oak equal to cash in hand any day of the week, despite the fact that there are better options out there.

I'd go for the 15202 in this instance - I think the finishing and design is a step above the Patek. It pains me to say that as the 5167 on the strap is pretty freckin fantastic - if between a 15202 and 5711 the tables would turn to Patek.
I think the fairer comparison would be a 5167 and 15500.....

5712 > 15202/5990 > 5164 > 5711 > 5167/15500

If you go back a couple of years, this question would be laughed at....hard.
Comparing 15202 to 5167 is a joke. Guess it is all about the $. I wonder if the resale price of 5167 is at retail, would the opinion be any different? The real question should be 5711 vs 15202. Thats would be a toughie...... Just for fun. IMO, 5711: Messi 15202: Ronaldo 5167: Neymar....or just anyone else...it doesn't really matter. |

The Aquanaut does look good on rubber but IMO on the metal bracelet it looks like a Grand Seiko. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
