Because this is TRF… maybe buy a watch to commemorate?

In all seriousness, big congrats! The VA is a nightmare to navigate. Glad your persistence paid off.

Very happy for your Paul and it couldn't have happened to a better guy! You have always been tremendously nice and I'm not in the "know" of your good news but am so glad that whatever the news was brightened your day.

Paul, good news especially life changing news only comes around once in a life if ever. It calls for a celebration. It may be time for you to obtain an XP Deus II and get your ass back to the beach!

I am always glad to hear of good things happening to good people. Since we all have an idea, we can all agree that you deserve every freaking part of it. Let the joy wash over you and take the bad events of the past few years out to sea.

I can relate Paul - something great happens, and you want to shout it from the rooftops, tell everyone about it, but that's not always appropriate and yet you've got this excitement and joy all bottled up. Just revel in it. You can buy something (like a watch) if you think it will work - it doesn't work for me, it's just stuff, but everyone is different.

My favorite response to this thread:

Congrats on the great news! Maybe take a mini vacation to relax, reflect and make a plan going forward?? Happy Thanksgiving and Go Lions!!

Thank you again everyone, I still am in a state of shock. I spent most of the night walking on the beach, trying to absorb the news. You Military Vets DO understand and yes, it is what you think, just an incredibly good outcome. After years of struggling, maybe my life is finally turning around, TWO great pieces of news in six days!!! I can’t handle it!!!

Thank you again everyone.

Wonderful news! It feels really nice to read such words even from a stranger online

My recommendation would be to find ways to pay it forward to others in the world who are less fortunate. You’ll relive your experience through them each time you do.

Cheers!

Not sure, but every time I show up at people's houses, I soon find that NO, MY ROOM IS DEFINITELY NOT READY.

Pretty disappointing really.

Good things happen to good people Paul, and you are a gem and well deserving of whatever good fortune came your way.
