New Accutron Spaceview 2020

So this was launched this week:

https://www.accutronwatch.com/pages/...-spaceview2020

Hodinkee article:

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ac...cs-and-pricing

I do like the 2020 non limited model but at 3450 usd with a 43mm and 15mm thick case, i'd have to see it in real life first.

Thoughts?

I think they look great. If they were $800 I'd buy one. That exploded movement view is incredible.

Will reserve judgment until being able to try it on, but seems super thick . And I wonder after how long the novelty of the flickering turbines wears off and becomes distracting/annoying . My initial gut instinct is at this price point I’d rather have a GS quartz or base spring drive

Exactly how I feel about it. The GS will be better finished too no doubt...

From a price point v technology I was mildly interested until I read the instructions.

Now I am not so sure.

Intersting timepiece. Alas, they priced it out of market. Neat watch, maybe at 25% to 35% discount.

That manual indeed

I do like the watch and am looking for something casual, larger and "special" and this might fit the bill, however, I might wait until they hit the pre-owned price levels to make a purchase.

Interesting piece - hopefully the 'street price' will be more realistic, or at least in the secondary market.

I like the watch, I have been looking forward to its release since 2019.
The price is high however.
Hopefully the secondary market price will be a lot better, as I would like to add it to my collection.

It may have been launched this week but destined to crash and burn. Who do they think their market is at those retail prices??

The same people who buy Hodinkee travel clocks.
