Anyone with 3230 movement suffering from low-amplitude / losing time?
Just curious if the 32XX movement problems have extended to the no-date variant, caliber 3230. Any submariner or OP owners (new releases of 2020) out there with the same movement problem as the 3235?? Specifically, losing time or discovering low amplitude on the movement.
Thanks in advance |

Hi TimeAZ
You may wish to check this thread: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=786299 Plenty of info on there. The fellow member Saxo3 is quite active and seems a pretty decent guy. You might wish to approach him privately if you have a specific question. |

My three month old op36 came back from Rolex (the issue not related to amplitude) and went from 2.8+ to 6.8+. I did wonder to myself if rsc did this on purpose preempting the slow down. Anyway I’ll give the benefit of the doubt.
Amplitude is in the 280s at the moment. If it does go bad I’m expecting it to be the case in around 8-9 months. I am hoping that I’ve avoided the curse though on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

When manual winding it felt like one of the teeth were missing in the gears and had a loud popping effect on the turns. No I’d rather them not touch the watch if possible. I get a new scratch each time they touch it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do you wind it up by winding the Crown back and forth? Or do you only wind it by turning it forward? |

Why do you ask? Why do you ask? If you have something to say why not say it Dirt? Are you asking if it is a full turn or half a turn? Why are you asking this? Do you have a anything constructive to add to this thread? Or do you have another agenda?

Great.
In the past I have noticed on two separate occassions immediately after a service that there was the same feeling on a couple of my watches when manually winding them. It wasn't an issue prior to sending them in. It was only when rocking the Crown back and forth like when the manual wind interface was re-engaging initially but skipping like the tips teeth of the gears were jumping across each other when re-engaging. The first watch wasn't too bad and it was hard to replicate the issue but I made the dealer aware of it and was able to demonstrate it. With the second watch, it seemed to be worse as I checked it at the dealer for the same issue before accepting it. In the end I didn't accept it and left it at the dealer for it to be sent back to Rolex for rectification. Which subsequently happened to my satisfaction I was asking because there may be a correlation between your problem and mine so you may be able to draw upon it in the future. Sometimes it can pay dividends in trusting the RSC a bit more but I did also leverage off my long standing relationship with the dealer I sent it through. |
