Rolex fitting protocol
New to the Brand, and I’m perplexed by the fitting routine. Asked for a rubber strap and to “box” the regular bracelet. Just want to put the wear on the two tone with the Everest strap. I thought they were going to have a Rolex convention of whispers. Then they said we can’t do that, you have to be fitted for the bracelet and we have to do that.

Rolex are a bit like apple. They deliver the product as they’d really fit and any modification is on you. For instance they will not sell you oysterflex without you proving you have a watch that originally came with oysterflex.
One of the frustrations of the brand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The watch has to always conform to the original options for the model number. If a rubber strap was never offered by Rolex for the particular model number, then an official Rolex seller can’t install it.
